Description of Activity:
Murray District Arts & Crafts Society is a well established club, operating for over 30 years at the Edenvale Complex in Pinjarra. We offer the Peel community a diverse range of art and craft activities and facilities. The premises has expanded over the years to now include, The Old Shop, Terry's Room, The Old Barn and Liveringa Gallery, all contributing to the wonderful ambience of the historical complex.

Liveringa Art Gallery is arguably the oldest building in the area. Far as we are able to tell it was built in the 1860's,. then it was extended in 1873/1874. Murray Arts and Crafts opened Liveringa as an art gallery in 2001. Liveringa is open to the public most days, but for those odd days it is closed, there is a key available at the Murray Arts and Crafts Shop, opposite Liveringa. The staff would be glad to show you through.

Membership has grown over the years, currently around 95 members, who enjoy many weekly classes, self-help groups, social functions and monthly workshops. Some of our talented teachers/artists are, Osca Anderson - oils & acrylics, Judy Rule and Maxine Kube - lead lighting, Richard James - watercolours, Grace Dunlop - leatherwork, Sandra Allardyce - printmaking, Judy Richards - china painting and Thea Anderson - pottery.
