Description:
The group has come a long way since our beginning. We are becoming more popular each year. Ed Scott saw a need for a group like ours and so we are formed.

Ed and Mike have since left the group, but we have continued going from strength to strength. The Silvertones remaining original members - Martin Zweckl and Ron Arnold - have since been joined by Fred Pragnell and Bob Bayliss. Although the group harmonises well together, we are not a barber shop quartet. We love country, and Rock & Roll is very popular with our audiences. We have lady guest artists - all great singers - who bring a bit of variety to our shows. I will devote more time to introducing them properly to you in another edition. For now, they are -
Noleen Walsh, Vera Pragnell, Dee Arnold, Mandy Mercer and Shirley Wildey.
We have a wide range of venues where we perform, including Perth Town Hall, Cockburn Seniors Centre, Harvey Recreation Centre, Leslie St Centre (Mandurah), Bentley Seniors, Don Russell Centre (Thornlie), Katanning Bowling Club, plus several Lifestyle Villages' and many nursing homes
We are getting a number of country shows, which is great as the country hospitality is fantastic.
We pride ourselves on the fact that although our performance fee is low, we can still support worthy causes. At present part proceeds from our shows goes towards Peel Health Campus Foundation.
Singing is one of the greatest ways you can bring happiness to others whilst enjoying yourself.
We are always looking for new venues or spreading our wings, so to speak.
We are also happy to assist worthwhile causes by donating our time and effort, providing the cause comes within the guidelines of our group.
Fred and I are both current ACP Board members and look forward to contributing to the promotion of the organisation.
