Artwork Competition
We need your help!
The background of our front page is rather dull. All members are invited to submit a picture to replace the white box.
Entries should be 800 x 560 pixels in a jpg or png file. Preference will be given to designs that complement the ACP logo without being too distracting or overwhelming. Abstract or surreal content is better than figures or distinct objects due to part of the picture being covered. There is no real time limit to the competition. We may even decide to have several pictures on rotation if we get enough quality entries.
Submit entries - here - please don't send anything by email.

The Carousel Horse Project is now complete.
What a great success it proved to be.
Participating artists:
- ACP Junior Art
- Peel Community Living
- Rosalie Richards
- Jackie Simmonite
- Deb Hay
- Fred Pragnell & Ron Arnold
- Sally Warner, Lesley Orr
- Winjan Aboriginal Corp.
All had a fantastic time designing and painting their horses. The horses are quite individual now, with a bright and happy look, and colourful new bushy tails.
The project concluded with a 'Yippee Ki Ya' party. Everyone enjoyed rides and yummy food. The Mandurah-Murray Riding for the Disabled group was invited to join in the fun, with lots of gold coins being donated to this very dedicated and worthy group. It was decided to name the carousel horses after the horses used by Riding for the Disabled.
If you haven't already been down for a peek, make sure you do. They look fantastic. Take the kids/grandkids for a ride (or sneak in a ride for yourself). Mark, the manager of King carrnival, has commented that children are already 'laying claim' to their horse! |
