CAROUSEL HORSE PROJECT
KING CARNIVAL MANDURAH
ACP recently sent information to members about our Carousel Horse Project and asking you to be involved.
We are pleased to advise that all 12 horses are now "sold"!
This should be a fun and colourful project involving painting the horses on the carousel at King Carnival.
The next step is to organise a meeting with the manager to arrange a suitable time and date for the project. Once this is done, funding will be sourced for the project materials.
It is hoped an exhibition of works (for artists involved) can be arranged for the same time.
It is rewarding to have some of our young artists involved from the Junior Arts group.
ACP JUNIOR CREATIVE ART & POTTERY PLACE AT THE STRETCH FESTIVAL
WHAT A FABULOUS SUCCESS!
Thanks to Kathy Finlay, Les Hodgson and 3 dedicated helpers from ACP, the "hands on" activity was quite simply, humming with activity for both days of the Festival.
Well over 200 children (and quite a few adults) enjoyed getting hands downright dirty making pots and figures.
Les cut a colourful figure (dressed to kill I might add) on the pottery wheel, keeping the public well entertained.
2 new Junior Art members + 3 new members for Pottery Place. - fantastic!
The colourful ACP banners (thanks to Stan & Rosalie Richards for setting up) made for an attractive back drop for both the pottery and ACP.
Our grateful thanks to
Kathy & Les
for a project well done!
With ACP deciding to be part of the Festival very late into the planning, We only had time to organise promotional materials. This was also a great success with over 200 of our new brochures being handed out, along with lots of advertising flyers on our projects.
We have already welcomed one new member.
Next Year will be a different story - ACP will be well and truly organized with some "hands on" activities, mainly targeting our youth ..
JUNIOR ART is generally going very well.
ACP is quite passionate about extending the Junior Art program to include other art forms.
Can you help us with providing tutoring skills. Please contact ACP.
